Local processing
Lynx is designed as a local Mac app for file analysis, duplicate checks, folder comparison, external backup planning and clear Mac optimization guidance. Processing takes place locally on the user's Mac wherever possible.
Processed data
Lynx may process file paths, file names, file sizes, modification dates, file hashes, selected folders, detected external drives, local Mac device information and local optimization answers. This data is used for analysis, comparison, recommendations, previews and deliberate user actions.
No automatic deletion
Lynx does not delete files automatically. Files are moved to the macOS Trash only after explicit user selection and approval.
No accounts, no tracking, no ads
The app currently does not require a user account, does not use advertising SDKs and is not designed for tracking across apps or websites.
Apple App Store and payments
Lynx is purchased through the Apple App Store. Payment, purchase and invoice data is processed by Apple under Apple's privacy terms.
